One-man Shows

Over the years I have created a repertory of one-man productions. These shows bring to life people that have made a significant impact on my life: Einstein, Twain, “A Child’s Christmas in Wales,” with Dylan Thomas, and from “The Old Man and the Sea,” Santiago. These productions have been performed from living rooms to auditoriums. Venues have included schools, libraries, museums, civic clubs, universities, conferences, resorts, and theater mainstages. Short video clips feature each production.

Stage Acting

My first acting experience occurred playing the part of Judas in “Godspell.” I was smitten. The struggle and joy of developing a character alongside a creative community of artists has never diminished from that time to this. In response to frequently-asked questions about my involvement in the theater, there is a Q & A session which you can visit by clicking the button below.

Directing/Coaching

Actors shape characters, directors shape productions. I love both. Directing takes in all aspects of a production beginning with choosing and analyzing a script. Then working with highly skilled producers, sound, and lighting designers, costumers, props people, music directors., stage managers., and of course, actors. Collaboration creates a show that no single person could ever accomplish. It is, indeed, a creative village. My joy has been to direct a variety of plays from the musical “1776” to the “The Graduate”, “A Few Good Men” to “Steel Magnolias.”

Coaching seasoned actors, and teaching actors new to the craft is a privilege
